The Fury trounced the Defenders, 15-3, in the Franklin County Softball League playoffs on Monday at Murphy Park.
With the win, the Fury advance to the championship game. Kinsley Bergeron, Kamryn Beck, Mila Phelps and Ima Jean Louis each had two RBIs in the victory. Tianna Moise-Valdez and Leah Batiste both added an RBI. Rian Ferrell had two hits, including a double, with an RBI.
Alison Kajka got the win in the circle with 10 strikeouts. Addi Talbot had a hit and two RBIs for the Defenders.
Bombers 6, Menace 5 — Carsyn Bauer’s RBI groundout scored Sienna LaFlesh in the walk-off win for the Bombers in the other semifinal match up on Monday.
The Bombers are set for the championship game with the Fury on Wednesday at 6 p.m. LaFlesh got the win in the circle with 10 strikeouts. Cayleigh Aldrich had two RBIs for the Bombers. Sofia Melnik (two RBI) , Alexis Berry, Juniper Totino and Madeline Finn had hits for the Menace.
Mackenzie Matthews had a hit and a run scored for the Bombers.

Dan Mickus won the Northfield Summer Road Race on July 16. Mickus finished the 5K race in 19 minutes, 10 seconds. Mike Townsley followed in second place (21:13). Marcy Cabanas, (21:54), Bob Austin (22:53) and Joe Snikeras (23:53) rounded out the top five. Eighteen people participated.

Hot-L 20, Liberty Tax Sharks 18 — Justin Nash, Ashley Podlesny and Wayne Carter combined for 11 hits and 13 RBI in the win for Hot-L on July 17. Heather Gibson had three hits and five RBI for the Sharks. Cody Willor added three hits and three RBI.
