ERVING, MA – Marjorie Ann (Hatt) Clark, 86, of Erving, died peacefully on July 25, 2026 at Baystate Franklin in Greenfield with her daughter by her side. She was born in Northampton on September 16, 1939, the daughter of Eldridge H. and Reita A. (Whitcomb) Hatt. Marjorie attended local schools in Amherst. Later, she went on to obtain her GED.
She worked as a CNA in various nursing homes. She enjoyed driving school buses and transporting elders through Mount Grace. She ended her working career in the Admissions Office at Deerfield Academy. She enjoyed attending the many programs at the Erving Senior Center. She was talented with knitting, crocheting, quilting and diamond art. She was a strong willed and determined lady who met every challenge head on.
She is survived by her son Donald E. Jenks of Erving and her daughter, Ellie M. Clark of Erving; her step children, Leonard H. Clark Jr. (Cyndi) of Orange, Robert Clark of Erving, Barbara Roberts of Florida, Terry Earlor of Millers Falls; her daughter in law Cindy-Lee Jenks of Granby; former daughter in law Dorothy Feyrer (Ed) of Greenfield; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her sister Doris Snape of Orange; and her brother Robert Hatt of Moody, Alabama; along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by hr husband, Leonard H. Clark Sr. (1991), her son, William E. Jenks Sr. (2010), her grandson, William E. Jenks Jr. (1977), a step daughter, Crystal Tucker (2013), and her former husband, George E. Jenks (2006), and her brother, Richard (2000) and just recently her devoted significant other, Alfred Breor III (2026).
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
A funeral service will be held August 4th, at 11:30 a.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home in Orange.
Interment will follow in Erving Center Cemetery.
