Nearly 200 athletes of all ages completed the 42nd annual Greenfield Triathlon this month. There are two race courses, each comprises a well-supported and grand race in lovely leafy Greenfield.
There is a wonderful feeling of camaraderie among the athletes, the many generous volunteers who support the race, and families and friends who attend. From the triathlon committee, race sponsors, bike support, post triathlon lunch preparers, police officers and lifeguards who look out for racers, everyone is all in for the Triathlon!
Thanks and kudos go especially to Race Director and Greenfield Parks and Recreation Director Christy Moore who does far more than her fair share to make Franklin County a great place to live, work and play! Christy and her inimitable team work miracles!
The Greenfield Triathlon is scheduled for the first Sunday in August, and I can tell you from my experience of competing for some 30 years, it is a great time! Whether you are a beginning athlete or an accomplished master swimmer, biker and runner, if you want to have fun, I recommend you mark your calendar and join us next August!
