Theodore W. Neale

Royalston, MA – Theodore “Ted” W. Neale, 78, of Royalston, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 19, 2025, surrounded by the comfort of familiar surroundings.

Born in Royalston on April 1, 1947, Ted was the son of the late Theodore W. and Hazel (Lawrence) Neale. A lifelong resident of the area, he proudly graduated from Athol High School with the Class of 1965. Ted was a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran serving from 1966 to 1970 receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Air Force Medal. Following his military service, Ted built a life rooted in hard work and dedication as the owner and operator of Neale Electric. For many years, he served his community withskill and integrity until his retirement in 2012.

Ted was a member of the Ovila Case VFW Post 905 of Gardner, and the Donald J. Hurtle American Legion Post 172 of Orange. Ted found peace and contentment in the outdoors, especially in his garden. He took great care in maintaining his flower beds, finding simple joy in the beauty he nurtured and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Ted is survived by his loving son, Travis W. Neale and his wife Cherilyn of Port Charlotte, Florida; his treasured grandchildren, Tayiah and Aliyah Neale, who brought him immense joy; his brother, Douglas Neale and his wife Phyllis of Gardner; his nieces, Andrea and Laura Neale; and several cousins, all of whom will fondly remember his steady presence and kind heart.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, River Road, Royalston, MA.
