ATHOL— A Mass Cash ticket worth $100,000 has been sold at the Country Convenience Store in Athol, the third so far this year.

According to owner Gaurang Patel and confirmed through the Mass Lottery website, Country Convenience has sold three winning Mass Cash tickets, on June 6, Sept. 21 and most recently on Oct. 25. Another winning Mass Cash ticket was sold at the store in 2018. Country Convenience is located at 216 S. Main St. in Athol.

“Every single customer I treat as family,” Patel said on Monday.

It is unknown at this time who the winner of the Oct. 25 ticket is. The winning numbers were 3, 8, 23, 27 and 34.

Mass Cash is played by choosing five numbers between 1 and 35. This can be done manually or through the Lottery’s automated Quic Pic system. Each Mass Cash costs $1 to play. Approximately 56% of the amount of money wagered on each drawing goes into the prize pool.

Choosing three out of the five winning numbers will net the player a $10 prize. Choosing four out of the five numbers wins $250. The odds of picking all five numbers is 1 in 324,632, according to the Mass Lottery website.
