ATHOL — A memorial service was held on Friday morning, Aug. 11, at Witty’s Funeral Home in Orange for Edward J. Fisher, 60, of Cass Circle, who died on Aug. 4,  at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol. 

Rev. Judy Jones of the Orange United Methodist Church officiated with words of remembrance by family and friends. Following the service, a reception was held in Fellowship Hall of the Orange United Methodist Church. Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main St., Orange, was honored with directing the arrangements.

ATHOL — Edward J. Fisher, 60, of Cass Circle, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.

Edward was born in Gardner on Jan. 26, 1957, a son of the late Charles E. and Exilda “Sadie” (Mailloux) Fisher of Phillipston.

A jack of all trades, Edward never met a problem he couldn’t solve, and had worked several jobs, including eight years at Duall Plastics in Athol.

Edward spent many hours in his workshop in the backyard, and loved watching the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and NASCAR. He also loved the ocean and getting out on the beaches.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Jacqueline E. Fisher of Athol; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Tyara and Stephen Bonk of Orange; granddaughters, Amber and Abby Bonk of Orange; his siblings, Catherine and Ronald Johnson of Midland, Texas, Geri and Eddie Foust of Lawrenceville, Ga., Paul and Laurie Fisher of Phillipston, Mary Fisher and Roger Laperriere of Phillipston, Peter and Pam Fisher of Baldwinville, Dave Fisher of Wilmington, N.C., and Charlene and Robert LeMieur of Templeton; an aunt, Harriet Fisher of Norfolk; many nieces and nephews; and sisters- and brothers-in-law, Judy Dolfe of Merrimack, Wayne Corey of Orange, Linda and Steve Perla of Gardner and Janice Stacy of Athol.

Besides his parents, Edward was predeceased by many aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Aug. 11, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main St., Orange.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, at Witty’s Funeral Home in Orange, with Rev. Judy Jones of the Orange United Methodist Church officiating.
