1:32 a.m. — Officer is out with a porcupine that someone hit, Silver Lake Street and West Royalston Road. He will be moving it to the side of the roadway.
3 a.m. — Open car door, Elm Street. Officer checked, no on inside. Party inside came out and stated it was his son’s car. Door has been secured.
7:06 a.m. — Alarm company reporting burglar alarm, Tower Road. Manager and key holder are currently on scene, building is secure. Do not need police response.
8:28 a.m. — 911 caller stating she was almost bit by a black lab that was loose in her yard from her neighbor’s next door and she is sick of it, Burma Road. Spoke to reporting party, the dog is an ongoing issue. ACO is aware and will be dealing with this issue separately. Provided court options.
10:05 a.m. — 911 call for a 48-year-old male party possible overdose, not breathing/conscious, Chestnut Hill Avenue. Two Narcan administered, started breathing and regaining consciousness while on the phone. Officer states in and out of consciousness, not breathing. CPR in progress. Officers conducted CPR and assisted with extrication. Transported to hospital.
11:01 a.m. — Party at the station regarding an issue he is having with male party, Gibson Drive. Spoke to reporting party, let him know PD has not received any calls regarding this matter. Reporting party will be mailing some personal items certified mail to return them.
11:15 a.m. — Party calling regarding a lock that another tenant put onto the garage he rents and wants an officer to cut it off, School Street. Told reporting party it is a civil matter.
11:56 a.m. — Party calling to ask an officer a question regarding having issues with individual staying at her residence, Cottage Street.
1:03 p.m. — Shelburne Control requesting officers’ assistance at Athol Hospital when OPD arrives with a Section 12, Main Street.
1:04 p.m. — Shelburne Control requesting APD be on the lookout for male party driving without active 11, Daniel Shays Highway. Officers will BOLO.
1:40 p.m. — Caller stating CVS did not give her husband the correct change from picking up two medications at 11 a.m. and they will not count the money drawer, Main Street.
2:09 p.m. — Caller wants to speak to officer regarding same ongoing neighbor issue, Leonard Street.
2:24 p.m. — Caller having more issues with same individual who now put exercise equipment in front of the garage, School Street.
3:10 p.m. — Male party at the station for a 209A, Exchange Street. Called the on-call judge who issued the Emergency Order, with an expiration of June 2, 2020.
3:27 p.m. — Caller reporting an erratic driver crossing over the lines and slowing down and then speeding up, South Athol Road. Officer has the vehicle stopped. Driver is on a learner’s permit. Owner of the vehicle is a passenger. No issues, party was learning to drive. Had valid learner’s permit and driver as a passenger.
3:31 p.m. — Caller looking to speak with an officer regarding a scam, Main Street. Party reported that she sent $500 via an American Express Gift Card to a person who she thought lived in the same apartment building, only to discover that it was sent to someone else. Detective spoke with American Express Customer Service, who advised that the card balance is now $0.00. Party given some safety tips to avoid future scams and advised that a report will be completed.
3:47 p.m. — Caller reporting possible HAPO violation, School Street. Other party involved called to speak to an officer. Determined there was no violation.
4:11 p.m. — Caller stated she was walking on a trail near the area of her home and noticed a deer carcass was dropped on the side of the trail, Townsend Road. Called back party and provided her with the Environmental Police phone number.
4:18 p.m. — Athol Hospital calling to inform PD that a male party is being transported to Bay State ICU and he has an ankle bracelet in case his PO calls, Main Street.
5:16 p.m. — Received a fax report of a bite by domestic animal, Daniel Shays Highway.
6:39 p.m. — Caller reporting go-carts racing in the area, Chestnut Hill Avenue. Spoke with party, advised to put go-cart away.
7:28 p.m. — Officer checking park, Silver Lake Beach. No issues found. Several people observed fishing and walking their dogs.
8:05 p.m. — Caller reporting suspicious activity in the area of the new houses, Chestnut Street. Reporting party was aware that stuff had been stolen from there before and was concerned with what they are doing.
8:13 p.m. — Caller reporting fireworks going off near the corner, Liberty and Park streets.
8:53 p.m. — Suspicious vehicle, Bearsden Road. All sent on way.
9:47 p.m. — Officer checking the area for fireworks, School Street. Unable to locate.
10:40 p.m. — Caller reporting fireworks going off, School Street. Took another call for fireworks going off on Cheney Street. Officer advised.
