People interested in attending should meet at Town Hall at 9 a.m. or at Gate 20 at the end of North Prescott Road in New Salem at 9:20 a.m. Prescott was one of the four towns disincorporated in 1938 to make room for the creation of the Quabbin Reservoir.

NEW SALEM — The first and second quarter fiscal year 2022 preliminary real estate and personal property tax bills were mailed on June 30, according to a post Tax Collector Kathryn Soule-Regine made to the town’s website.
The first-quarter bills are due Aug. 2. The second-quarter bills are due Nov. 1. Payments received after these dates will be charged interest and fees.

Go to unitaxonline.com to make online payments using a credit card, debit card or bank payment. You can also visit this site to search for your real estate bill by last name or street, regardless of whether you pay the bill online.
Non-cash payments can be deposited in the tax payment dropbox located in front of the Town Hall at 15 South Main St. or mailed to the tax collector at 24 South Main St., New Salem, MA 01355. You can use money orders or postal orders in place of cash. Exact cash payments can be made during the tax collector’s office hours on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
