PETERSHAM — On Saturday, June 4, a plaque was dedicated to Shaker founder Mother Ann Lee at the home of Robert Hall and the Rev. John Pastor, who live at 131 Popple Camp Road. Members of the Boston Area Shaker Study Group, who financed the plaque, Brother Arnold from the Sabbath Day Lake Shaker Community, and other interested folks were present for the dedication and luncheon.
ATHOL — Karla Sund was the winner of our May Garden Bundle raffle. Thanks to the Friends of the Athol Public Library and the Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange for making the Garden Bundles possible. The Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange, located on High Street in Greenfield, donated over 100 seed packets to the Athol Public Library for patrons to have for free inside their Garden Book Bundles. Pictured is Sund with her prize, a bundle of seeds from the Greenfield Farmers COOP and a gift card to the Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange generously funded by the Friends of the Athol Public Library.
