ATHOL — Author Joe Adamowicz will present a free program about short hikes in Central Mass on Wednesday, June 29, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Athol Public Library, 568 Main St. Registration encouraged. Please register by calling 978-249-9515.
ORANGE — Friday, July 1, the Orange Community Band will present its patriotic concert on the Bandstand in Butterfield Park, sponsored by Orange Post 172 American Legion. Stephanie Parker will conduct the 7 p.m. free concert.
PETERSHAM — The University of the Wild Center will host a wisdom sharing circle with Brother North Star Saturday, July 2, at 7 p.m. at UofWild, 73 Glasheen Road, Petersham.
The free event is a Welcome Home to Petersham to Brother North Star, a peace pilgrim walker, musician, writer, and earth and social justice activist.
The program will also be offered on Sunday, July 3, at noon, on the Petersham Common, which is open to the general public.
WESTMINSTER — The Westminster Garden Tour will be held the weekend of July 9-10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. This year’s event will again feature the stunning gardens of Gordon and Mary Hayward. Gordon and his wife Mary have been developing a 1½-acre garden around their 220-year-old farmhouse in Westminster West for the past 35 years.
